Tsutomu Miyazaki (or "Human Dracula") was born on August 21, 1962 in Itsukaichi, Tokyo, Japan. Miyazaki is also known as the Otaku Murderer and the Little Girl Murderer. His crimes include vampirism and preservation of the body parts. Miyazaki was also labeled as a serial killer, cannibal, and necrophilia. Miyazaki killed from 1988 to 1989 with a total of four victims. All of his victims were between the ages of four to seven. Miyazaki was eventually caught and given the death sentence. He died on June 17, 2008 by hanging.
For some background, Miyazaki was born premature and had deformed hands. In his elementary years, Miyazaki kept to himself a lot and was not that social. Some believe one reason Miyazaki kept to himself was because his father had an incestuous relationship with one of Miyazaki's sisters. On top of that, he was neglected by his immediate family, and his grandfather was the only one that really supported Miyazaki. Throughout Miyazaki's high school years, he had severe depression as well as suicidal thoughts. One event that occurred in Miyazaki's teen years was that Miyazaki watched his sister take a shower. His sister screamed when she saw him and he attacked her. When his mother found out about the incident some time after, he attacked her as well. At the age of 21, Miyazaki started to watch child pornography. As we can tell, Miyazaki did have some psychological issues and a neglectful childhood that definitely impacted the tragic decisions he made.
Each of Miyazaki's victims was a little girl. Miyazaki strangled all of his victims, and even sent ransom post cards to the victims' parents. Miyazaki's first victim was four year old Mari Konno. Miyazaki killed Konno on August 22, 1988. He lured Konno into his car and then drove her to a bridge in Tokyo. Miyazaki sat next to Konno for a half an hour before strangling her to death. After that, Miyazaki performed necrophilia on Konno's corpse. Once finished with that, he took her clothes and hid her corpse. He let the corpse decompose for a little bit before returning to it. Once he returned to the corpse, he removed the hands and feet and kept them in his closet. After that, he charred the remaining bones in a furnace, ground them to powder, and sent them to Konno's family along with her teeth and pieces of her clothes. Miyazaki also sent a post card to her family that said, "Mari. Cremated. Bones. Investigate. Prove."
Miyazaki's second victim was Masami Yoshizawa. She was seven years old and died on October 3, 1988. Miyazaki saw Masami on a rural road and offered her a ride. She accepted and Miyazaki took Masami to the same place that he killed Mari. From there, Miyazaki killed Masami and performed necrophilia on her. After that, he took her clothes and left her body.
On December 12, 1988 Miyazaki killed his third victim, Erika Nanba. Erika was only four years old. Miyazaki forced Erika into his car; he kidnapped her. After that, Miyazaki drove Erika to a parking lot in Naguri Saitama. Once they got there, Miyazaki made Erika take all of her clothes off in the back seat of his car, and then proceeded to take pictures of her. After that, Miyazaki killed her and proceeded to tie her hands and feet behind her back. Then, Miyazaki covered Erika's corpse with a bedsheet and placed her body in his trunk. After that, Miyazaki left Erika's corpse in the parking lot and her clothes in the woods. Then Miyazaki sent a postcard to Erika's family with magazine words saying, "Erika. Cold. Cough. Throat. Rest. Death."
Miyazaki's final victim was five-year-old Ayako Nomoto. Ayako died on June 6, 1989. Miyazaki managed to convince Ayako to take pictures of her. After he got Ayako in his car, he killed her. Miyazaki did the same thing with wrapping the corpse in a bedsheet and placing it in his trunk like he did with his last murder. After that, Miyazaki performed necrophilia on Ayako's corpse and took pictures of her as well as filming her dead body. Miyazaki then let Ayako's body decompose for a little bit before dismembering it. Miyazaki kept Ayako's hands, as well as drinking the blood out of them and eating a part of the hands. Once that was all done, Miyazaki hid Ayako's remains in his closet.
Miyazaki was eventually caught for his crimes and arrested. When Miyazaki's father found out about Miyazaki going to jail, he killed himself in 1994. Miyazaki admitted to having a love of horror films and anime, which caused the public to leave those are what made him a killer (of course, most people who watch horror films are not killers). When Miyazaki went under psychiatric evaluation to see if he was fit to stand trial, it was said that he had no immediate apparent disorders. It was also said Miyazaki was obsessed with: pedophilia, necrophilia, sadism, fetishism, and cannibalism. Originally, Miyazaki was sentenced to death on Apirl 14, 1997 by hanging, but instead was hanged on June 17, 2008.
