Skulls: 5 skulls

Ever since Mary Shaw was hunted down and killed, the small town of Ravens Fair has been no good place to live. It has been haunted by many deaths. When the wife of one of the locals is brutally murdered, he returns home. That's when he unravels the terrifying legend of Mary Shaw and when you see her, never, ever scream. Beware the stare of Mary Shaw. She had no children only dolls. And if you see her in your dreams, be sure you never, ever scream.
Alright, this is the very first movie I'm giving five skulls. When I give a movie five skulls that means it scared me. Now, when I watch horror films the most they can do is make me jump once or twice. This movie scared me so bad half way through I stopped watching it and it took me about a month to fully recover from the movie. Now I'm not saying everyone's going to get scared from watching this, but you may. Don't complain to me if this movie didn't scare you because it's not guaranteed to scare you. (For the record however, I was also only twelve watching this the first time so don't fully make fun of me)
Now I did get over the fear of this movie and I did finish the rest of it. Excluding the fact that it scared me, this movie was really good. The story line made sense. I liked the story line. This movie also will definitely give you suspense. I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole way through the movie. To make things even better about this movie, the ending has quite a twist.
The killer in this movie is Mary Shaw. She had no children, but she did have 101 ventriloquist puppets she called her children. When she died, she was turned into a puppet and all of her "children" were buried with her. Now she comes back to kill and if you see her you better not scream unless you want her to rip your tongue out and kill you. After watching this movie, I've never screamed again. If I get scared I only jump. Very rarely will I scream. In this movie, as long as you don't scream, you live. It's not as simple as it seems though.
I didn't have a favorite part in this movie. I am also no longer scared to watch this movie. There isn't anything in this movie that I didn't like except for the fact that I would have liked to see more gore when these people got their tongues ripped out. This movie does have an alternate beginning and ending, but I didn't really enjoy them. Just watch the movie the way it was made.
A fun fact I would like to share about the movie is that it's from the directors of Saw for those of you who enjoy those movies. (I certainly do) I would like to say overall this was an excellent movie and unfortunately for me it did scare me, but it's still a good movie that I think is a definite must see.
