Every culture has one - the horrible monster fueling young children's nightmares. But for Tim, the Bogeyman's still lives in his memories as a creature that devoured his father 16 years earlier. Is the Bogeyman real? Or did Tim make him up to explain why his father abandoned his family. The answer lies hidden behind every dark corner and half opened closet of his childhood home. This is a place he must return to and face the chilling unanswered question. Does the Bogeyman really exists?
This movie definitely deserves three skulls. I honestly have to say this is definitely one of the most suspenseful movies I've ever seen. This movie keeps you involved and keeps your interests up. You stay captivated the whole way through the movie. I was definitely thinking throughout the whole movie and even when the movie was over I couldn't stop thinking.
This movie definitely has twists to it. The whole movie I had to keep thinking and I still don't even understand it all. There were so many twists in it that it was hard to understand and it left you thinking. Like in one part Tim is in a motel with his girlfriend and he goes into the bathroom closet and then he appears coming out of a closet in his old house. That was one twist and there were many more to come which made it more confusing, but it was still a good and suspenseful movie.
One thing I didn't like about the movie was how confusing it was. Like the confusion of it added suspense and made the movie good, but I would like all my unanswered questions from the confusion to be answered. Like in the movie it seemed as if the closets were time machines going to the past future and present and it made no sense.
Something I liked about this movie was the little girl in it. She was also a part of the twists an suspense and confusion but she was adorable. I honestly think that she's dead and trying to help Tim face the Bogeyman, but that's just another part of the more confusing twist in the movie.
One thing I have to say was good about the movie was the effects and acting. The effects weren't cheesy (just some gave me a headache) and the acting wasn't bad. I will admit I jumped two times total in the movie. The effects definitely were good because I definitely felt affected by them after watching them.
Overall a very good movie, but it didn't scare me. However, it may scare others out there who are more easily scared.
